About our Giclees
Giclee is a French word meaning, " a fine spray of mist" . A giclee is a digital reproduction made directly off the original painting, and placed on a fine linen canvas.

Each of our giclees are personally hand-embellished by the artist, thus making each one uniquely different than the one proceeding it. To embellish means to add texture and detail. In addition, they are sprayed with an ultraviolet inhibitor to ensure that the archival quality of the colors remain intact for a life time.

"Quality in Motion"
A trio of new  General Electric Dash 8 40 CW's hustles a brace of empty Tropicana freight cars south as it approaches "The Funnel" north of Folkston, Georgia.  Running at passenger train speeds, this high-priority train is affectionally known as the "Juice Train"  by railroad employees.
As many as 150 trains pass through this location every twenty-four hours. This is where the main line of the CSX Railroad from the northeast converges with the railroad's Florida to Chicago mainline. Both of these routes originally belonged to the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, one of CSX's many predecessor lines.

" Texas Bluebonnets and Warbonnets"
The Santa Fe Railroad's Texas Chief  roars south out of a Texas-size thunderstorm near  Brenham,Texas in 1965. This Chicago to Houston  streamliner was typical of the  Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad's fleet of mainline passenger trains.
Both  the roar of the train and the crackle of lightning and thunder must have startled the horse as the young boy in the background frantically waves his hands in the air for his horse to return to the safety of the barn.

"Canadian Mist II"
General Electric  8-40CWs pull a grain train east along the Bow River in Banff National Park. This region of the North American continent is known for its spectacular beauty. The mainline of the Canadian Pacific Railroad follows the natural course of the Bow River through the park which is located in the province of Alberta, Canada in the Canadian Rockies. This location is known as Morant's Curve, named after the famous company photographer for  the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

"Black Thunder"
"A Racetrack Panorama"
You are riding in the cab of locomotive #4024, the first locomotive in a four-unit lash of General Motors E-8  diesels.  This train is New York Central Railroad's flagship train, the Twentieth Century Limited.

We are "highballing" down the 8-track mainline located on Chicago's south side as it approaches the 4-vertical lift bridge which spans the Calumet River as we follow the markers of the Pennsylvania Railroad's Broadway Limited.   This time the Broadway Limited  has won "the great race".
Welcome aboard!

Seaboard Coastline's train, The Silver Meteorroars at 98 miles an hour as it outpaces a vicious thunderstorm west of Jacksonville, Florida.
In this view the Atlantic Coastline Railroad has just merged with the Seaboard Airline Railroad, creating a sacrilege for railroad fans.  Hear the thunder.  See the lightening.  The gods of railroading are angry.
On July 1, 1967 an Atlantic Coastline locomotive pulls a Seaboard Airline passenger train  south towards Miami.
This railroad later became what is now the CSX Railroad.

In the 1950's and early 60's blaring neon signs strategically placed atop skyscrapers face Lake Michigan as two trains prepare to depart Illinois Central's Lakefront Station.
Chicago Nights lights up under florescent colors highlighting a typical nighttime scene along South Michigan Avenue.
Lt. Col. Lee Archer banks his P-51D Mustang into a starboard turn as he and his fellow wingmen of the 332 Fighter Group escort a flight of B-17s over Germany on a night time bombing mission.
Flying escort for these heavy bombers,  the 332nd earned an impressive combat record unequaled by any other combat fighter squadron during  World War II.  The Allies affectionately called them "The  Red Tails" because of the distinctive red paint on the vertical stabilizers of the unit's aircraft.
The Tuskegee Airmen held the record of never having lost a bomber to enemy aircraft while they were flying escort!
These pilots were initially referred to as "nightfighters", which was to have been a derogatory term.  However, because of their valor, professionalism, and combat record, these pilots turned that term into something to be admired and honored.
A trio of General Motors SD-70 MACS pulls the Houston Power & Light train across the Texas panhandle between Delhart and Sealey, Texas.  These high-tech diesel locomotives were built by General Motors using Siemans technology in the locomotives micro processors.
The New York Central's Railroad's  Twentieth Century Limited heads south along the east shore of the Hudson River as it approaches New York City in the route from Chicago.
The paint scheme utilized on these locomotives was known as lightening stripes because it resembled a horizontal bolt of lightening running through the flanks of the diesel locomotives.
A thunderstorm was chosen by the artist to symbolically portray this particular paint scheme.

A Wabash Railroad freight train heads west near downtown Decatur, Illinois in the 1940's as it passes by the Staley Building, a notable regional landmark. At one time this was the tallest skyscraper south of Chicago, Illinois until the 1960's.   To local residents it was known as the "Birthday Cake Building".  This structure still continues to light up at night on its different tiers.
Follow the Flag was the official themed logo of the Wabash Railroad until its absorption into the Norfolk and Western Railway in the mid '70's.
Locomotive 1189 was saved from the scrappers torch and is now running excursions for the Monticello Railroad Museum.
A  Southern  Railway passenger train double-headed by two of Southern Railway's PS-4 class steam locomotives, departs Atlanta, Georgia's Peachtree Station headed northbound in the spring of 1930.

Peachtree Station was a suburban station stop for those passengers deciding not to board the train at the much larger downtown Terminal Station facility.

Peachtree Station is still in use today by Amtrak for the two daily trains serving the city.
A Gulf Mobile & Ohio freight train ambles north out of  Porterville, Mississippi in the early 1950's.  An assortment of pulpwood cars and box cars make up the consist of this local general merchandise train.
The  view is typical of the many rural municipalities that this railroad served throughout the southern tier.
The classic wooden house with a tin roof in the middle foreground  is resting on cinder blocks and is reminiscent of many houses  in the cotton belt states during this era.
Canadian Pacific 8-40CW's hustle a grain train across the wind-driven snow scape of the Canadian province of Alberta. This train is typical of the freight trains which traverse this route.  Each grain car in this consist is named after a province in Canada.
Of particular note are the classic wooden grain elevators in the middle foreground. These structures are a fast- disappearing piece of Americana which once dotted the plains of both Canada and the United States.

Near the Merced River in Yosemite National Park a male alpha wolf teaches his two young pups how to howl at the moon as the female wolf watches intently against a backdrop of El Capitan.  The Cathedral Mountains are under the Aurora Borealis.  In the distance Half Dome highlights the grandeur and majesty of nature as wolves were recently placed back into the park.

Warmed by the rays of the sun, a North American Bald Eagle emerges through the clouds and descends upon the Bright Angel Trail along the south rim of the Grand Canyon.  Surrounding the opening  are faces of members of the Navajo Nation and images of buffalo.

This painting honors the Native American as it celebrates the glory and majesty of the park, and of the great American icon, the bald eagle.  text.b
The Tybee Island Lighthouse is a fixed light structure with a Fresnel Lens. It was  built in 1732.
The day mark on this particular lighthouse is unique because of the stripes which can be seen from miles away by incoming vessels entering and departing the port of Savannah, Georgia.
A  spectacular sunrise highlights the St. Simons Island lighthouse. This lighthouse is located just off the coast near Savannah, Georgia. The headhouse and the kiosk are both distinctive features of this wonderful structure.
This lighthouse is located just off the coastt.
